Good morning… What a week!
OriginOil in the LA Business Journal
On Monday, our hometown business magazine put up a great spread on OriginOil.
Check it out here.

These photos were shot during the big tour of the National Algae Association. Great shots of our dedicated lab team… Thanks LABJ!
OriginOil at the Clean Defense Summit
On Wednesday, (my birthday!), I spoke in Washington at “Clean Def” Summit 2012, which featured top military and civilian brass.
All I can say is, the U.S. military are quite serious about clean energy — but not because it’s “green”… but for energy security.
I think that’s pretty sustainable, don’t you?
(CLEANDEF5, the next quarterly Clean Defense Briefing, will be held in Washington on April 30. Online registration is now open here. I highly recommend it!)
OriginOil and the City of Los Angeles
On my way back Thursday, I wrangled an upgrade to First Class, and found myself sitting next to… LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa!
What do you think we talked about?
Turns out that the Port of LA is serious about reducing pollution, and is pushing ships to switch to cleaner fuels within 40 miles of port… and someday they may use algae based fuels produced right here in Southern California!
OriginOil and Fox News 11
Finally on Friday night, I landed on Fox News 11! Here’s an advance clip to give you an idea of how it went.
Of course, I discussed Clean Def, and my conversation with our Mayor.
Heidi Cuda’s “Saving the California Dream” show features businesses with both challenges and successes in California.
My brother and I are happy to report that, yes, California is a success for us!
Have a great week.
