It’s official: We came in 49th out of the Top 100 People in Bioenergy worldwide!

I share this amazing rank with my able CTO, Brian Goodall. We are honored and thankful. The complete Top 100 is here.

Editor Jim Lane told us yesterday: “kudos – you had an amazing outpouring of support from the US-based Digest readership, and pretty good votes from Australia too, indicating that your Australian partnership has drawn attention there.”

According to Biofuels Digest, “the poll attracted more than 15,000 votes over the two-week voting period by Digest readers.”

Chosen from a field of more than 400 nominees, the Top 100 included the Secretaries of Agriculture, Energy and the Navy, four US Senators, five US Representatives, the heads of both US algae associations, execs from six other algae companies, and famed venture capitalists like Vinod Khosla and John Doerr.

If you voted, thank you – because it was no simple process, signing up for Biofuels Digest and then following your personalized link to vote for the Top 100. Whew!

Onward… you guys are the best.
