OriginOil Announces CLEAN-FRAC for Complete Frack Water Treatment

New product line to embed OriginOil technology in complete systems intended to achieve any desired level of water quality

Los Angeles – May 14, 2014 – OriginOil Inc. (OTC/QB: OOIL), developer of Electro Water Separation™ (EWS), the high-speed, chemical-free process to clean up large quantities of water, announced plans today to launch a product line that can treat frack water from end to end.

This product, CLEAN-FRAC™, is based on OriginOil’s P1000 platform, which is designed to process 1000 barrels per day of frac flowback and produced water.

“Until now, we have only offered our core water cleanup system to licensees, so that they could add their own modules to treat water to the stage their customers need,” said Riggs Eckelberry, OriginOil CEO. “Now that we plan to acquire companies with strong capabilities, we intend to make CLEAN-FRAC the complete solution they can offer service companies and operators.”

“Our first demonstration scale unit, CLEAN-FRAC 1000, is now in Colorado, where we plan to demonstrate its capabilities on May 27th,” said Bill Charneski, General Manager of OriginOil’s Petro Division. “It will be available to our licensees so they can get started, and in future through our planned acquisitions.”

OriginOil licensee Pearl H20 has also scheduled the installation of a commercial-scale three-quarter barrel per minute system in California’s Monterey Formation. Branded as Pearl Blue, the system incorporates OriginOil’s EWS Petro™ process at the first stage, to help effectively and economically treat frac flowback water for immediate reuse.
